When you are in Livingstone, don’t forget to pay a visit to Mukuni Park Curio (Souvenir) Market. This is the place where you can buy any type of hand-carved crafts and curios. Name any type of curio you can imagine and it is there.
The market opens from 09:00 to 20:00. It has been in operation since 1890!
The curio market is located in the city on the corner of Airport Road and Mosi-O-Tunya road directly opposite the Hotel.
After purchasing your curios (which are delightfully inexpensive) make sure to take a stroll through Mukuni Park behind the market for a picnic, drink and sighting of Zambia’s finest festival showcasing Africa’s splendour. You will also learn a bit of history…
